Opportunity From Exposure

From an early age, the opportunities we have or get later in life stem from our exposure. The exposure of social circles, sports, daily activities, culture, and travel. These are the factors that shape our opportunities in life. Some people will naturally have more than others, some are less fortunate, and some come by the process of exploration. Yes, the more exposure you have as a child opens the door to certain opportunities, but the choices you make once you are able to help you grow and flourish.

Let’s categorize this in three ways.

  1. This is your upbringing. This is how those who nurture you and who you are around as a child shape who you become.

  2. This is your comfort zone. These are the areas in your life where safety, security and being good at what you do are all you are and what you are exposed to.

  3. This is your exploration. This is you getting out of your comfort zone and trying new things in order to open the doors to endless possibilities.

Some of each is what makes us who we are, but only choosing one limits us from the opportunities for growth and development.

Take comfort in knowing that you can transform your life. Yes, certain things are in our DNA, but the brain and its abilities are far more advanced than we realize or will ever be able to grasp and unlock. You have the ability to add exposure to your life. It is up to you to make it happen.
